The famous, storied and beautiful Hawarden Estate is uniquely modern in outlook. It is home to a multi-award-winning farm shop, restaurant and pub as well as some of the best self-catering accommodation in the UK.
There is a bakery, a medieval castle, a school of craft, wellness and food, a nature trail and lots more. We have many different spaces available for endless different activities.
The Estate is just 15 minutes from Chester, 40 minutes from Liverpool and Manchester, and two and a half hours from London on the train.
We have nearly ten years’ experience in running events with world experts in cooking, wellness and outdoor craft. We can provide you with the ultimate event for your team.

We have several remarkable spaces, of various sizes, for meetings, parties or hanging out. From the warm, welcoming and spacious Conservatory to our truly iconic Walled Garden. We also have an award-winning pub, The Glynne Arms, two Grade I Listed castles, and a private lake and nature reserve.

We have a range camping options and locations as well as three luxury holiday properties on site, all available to rent.
From a cosy bolthole in The Walled Garden to a newly refurbished apartment in The West End of Hawarden Castle.

From exhilarating wild swims, axe throwing and abseiling from ancient ruins to massage, yoga and spectacular feasts from the fire with The Walled Garden. Yes we have a large car park just a short walk away from The Walled Garden School.

Yes, we will cater for your event. We have a team of chefs led by our Estate chef who can work with you to build a menu of your choice to suit your event. That could be a 3-course black tie evening, afternoon tea or even a picnic lunch.

Yes we have a fully stocked bar of beer, wine and sprits for your event. If you’d like we can even make a signature cocktail to truly make your special day a celebration.

Yes, we have three properties on site
The West End in Hawarden Castle (sleeps 10)
Gardener’s House (sleeps 9)
Beekeeper’s Hut (sleeps 2 - double bed)
We also have Pedlar’s flat (sleeps 4 - 2 doubles)
For larger groups we have up to 50 bell tents which we can accommodate up to 150 guests. Based on 3 people sharing.
