Butchery Classes in The Walled Garden
Learn from bushcraft and survival expert Jamie Corry
Jamie Corry from Wild Bushcraft Company is someone we work with regularly. He is skilled in his field and passionate about helping others learn about and appreciate the wonders of the natural world. Jamie has over 21 years of experience, mainly in bushcraft, deer stalking, and as a ranger. Jamie is passionate about the meat he eats and tends to only eat what he has hunted or raised to know exactly where the animal has come from.
Jamie only sources venison which is part of a sustainable deer management plan.
For the next butchery course at The Walled Garden School, Jamie will demonstrate how to source and prepare the best game. Game is an incredibly flavourful and nutritious meat, which can be sustainably sourced here in the UK. Game butchery is for those wanting to gain a deeper understanding of how to prepare wild game and turn it into a delicious meal.
All guests will be taught how to pluck and gut a bird, and how to break down pheasant and/or partridge ready for roasting. Guests will also learn new methods of preparation and cooking.
the benefit of these classes is that you don’t need any prior skills to attend this class and that all of the equipment you would need is provided for you.
