14th June - Tablet Weaving with Hannah Robson
Saturday 14th June
10am - 3:30pm
Lunch, snacks and unlimited tea and coffee included.
Tablet weaving is a beautiful craft, used to create woven bands, belts or straps.
In this session, an expert weaver will introduce you to the special equipment and processes for tablet weaving. Pre-prepared looms will be provided, and you will quickly get to grips with the techniques involved.
When you’re feeling confident, you will set up a loom with colours and patterns of your choosing. By the end of the day you will have a distinct woven piece suitable to use as a strap, handle or decorative braid.
All equipment and weaving yarns will be provided.

About Hannah Robson
Hannah is an artist and weaver who, using a range of weaving technologies and materials, creates two- and three-dimensional sculptures, installations and fabrics. She is interested in the spatial qualities of textiles: how they can affect and form space, change atmospheres, filter and reflect light.
Hannah joined us at Summer Camp in 2024 and we’re looking forward to welcoming her back to The Walled Garden for this workshop, before we see her again at Summer Camp 2025!
